Leading automated vendor payout platforms in 2026 are Ryft, Stripe Connect, Adyen, Mangopay and Lemonway. Each one collects customer payments and pays vendors their share without manual bank transfers. They differ on vendor onboarding, payout rails and how much control the platform keeps over payout timing.

This guide focuses on marketplaces and platforms that pay third-party vendors or sellers from customer transactions. If you only pay your own suppliers against invoices, an accounts payable tool is the right category to research instead.

What is automated vendor payout management software?

Automated vendor payout management software moves money to vendors, suppliers or sellers without manual transfers sent one by one. It typically covers vendor onboarding, identity and bank checks, payout scheduling, controls and reconciliation once funds have moved.

For marketplaces, the core job is splitting each customer payment between the vendor and the platform. The provider deducts your commission, holds each vendor’s share in its own account and pays it out on schedule. Your finance team no longer has to calculate, approve and send each payout by hand.

How we compared vendor payout platforms

We assessed each provider on the five areas finance and product teams raise most often. These are vendor onboarding, payout rails and reach, payout controls, integration approach and reconciliation.

Onboarding covers how vendors submit details and how know your customer (KYC) checks run before payouts start. Payout rails cover which schemes a provider uses, since instant domestic rails reach vendors faster than international wires. Reconciliation covers whether each payout carries clear status data your finance team can match against the ledger.

The 5 best automated vendor payout platforms in 2026

1. Ryft

Ryft is an FCA-authorised payment platform built for marketplaces and platforms that pay many vendors. Ryft’s split payment functionality divides each customer payment at the point of sale. Your commission is deducted automatically, and each vendor’s share lands in their own sub-account.

Vendors join through Ryft’s rapid seller onboarding flow, with automated KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) checks built in. Identity documents are verified in the same flow, and platforms receive real-time webhook updates on status. Ryft verifies accounts in under 24 hours once all required documents have been provided.

Payouts run daily and automatically, or manually when a platform wants tighter control over cash flow. Platforms can also trigger payouts to eligible sub-accounts through the API. GBP payouts travel over Faster Payments, and EUR payouts use SEPA Instant where the receiving bank supports it.

In September 2026, Ryft added FX conversions and cross-border payouts in over 35 currencies. Every payout moves through clear statuses, including a review state for flagged payouts. This gives finance teams a clean audit trail for reconciliation.

Ryft holds FCA Licence, is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and processes payments for 6,500+ businesses. Marketplace Tuft cut its payment costs by 62% after moving from Stripe, though savings depend on volumes and payment mix.

‍Best for: UK and European marketplaces and platforms that want volume-based pricing and a 24/7 in-house support team.

2. Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect is Stripe’s product for marketplaces and platforms that pay connected accounts. Split payouts run through destination charges, direct charges, or separate charges and transfers. Stripe Technology Europe Ltd holds an e-money licence from the Central Bank of Ireland, passported across the EEA.

Funds paid to connected accounts are paid out on a rolling daily basis by default. Platforms can change the schedule, switch to manual payouts or offer Instant Payouts to eligible accounts. Stripe-hosted onboarding collects vendor details and bank accounts through a form Stripe manages.

Stripe is certified annually as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider. Its documentation covers most payout scenarios in depth.

‍Best for: developer-led platforms that already process with Stripe and want payouts on the same account.

3. Adyen for Platforms

Adyen for Platforms covers sub-merchant onboarding, payment splitting, fund transfers and payouts. Each vendor is onboarded as an account holder, and all funds move through balance accounts. Payouts can be scheduled to bank accounts or sent on demand, including to eligible cards.

Adyen is a licensed institution under PSD2, with PCI DSS Level 1 compliance and SOC 2 Type 2 certification. The platform is responsible for following up on verification status and contacting vendors during onboarding.

‍Best for: large enterprise platforms processing high volumes across many markets.

4. Mangopay

Mangopay is a wallet-based marketplace provider, authorised as an electronic money institution by Luxembourg’s CSSF. Split payments and marketplace payouts are native features rather than add-ons.

Vendors hold funds in wallets and usually need full KYC verification before they can request a payout. For EUR payouts, platforms can choose between standard SEPA, SEPA Instant and T2 rails. Webhooks report each payout’s status for tracking.

‍Best for: European marketplaces that want wallet-based fund flows managed through an API.

5. Lemonway

Lemonway is a French payment institution regulated by the ACPR since 2012, with an EU passport. It focuses on marketplaces and platforms that need to onboard sellers, split payments and pay out to third parties. Lemonway says more than 1,400 marketplaces use its services.

Its model often pairs with bank partners that handle pay-ins, whilst Lemonway manages payouts. UK platforms should check current UK coverage directly, since Lemonway’s licence and passport are EU-based.

‍Best for: EU marketplaces and crowdfunding platforms that need a regulated payout partner in France.

Why marketplaces automate vendor payouts

Manual payouts work at small volumes, but they break down as vendor numbers rise. Each new vendor adds onboarding checks, bank details and another line to reconcile. A finance team calculating commission and sending transfers by hand quickly becomes the bottleneck.

Automated payout providers move that work into the payment flow itself. When a buyer checks out, the provider splits the amount between the vendor and your platform fee. The vendor is then paid on a set schedule, with a status record for every payout.

Regulation also matters, since holding vendor funds on your own balance can bring your platform into scope. An authorised provider keeps those funds within its regulated flow, reducing the burden on your team. Payment institutions safeguard these funds, but they are not covered by FSCS deposit protection. How to choose the right vendor payout software

Start with where your vendors are based. A UK and European vendor base benefits from Faster Payments and SEPA Instant, so check which rails each provider supports. Ask whether instant payouts are standard, limited to eligible accounts or charged as an extra.

Next, look at who runs onboarding. Some providers run KYC checks and chase missing documents themselves; others leave follow-up with your team. The difference shows up in how quickly new vendors can start receiving payouts.

Finally, check pricing structure and support. Flat-rate pricing is simple to model, whilst volume-based pricing changes as your processing grows. Ask who answers when a payout fails and how quickly, since vendors feel any delay directly.
